Enjoy a guided walking tour of architectural gems in downtown Chicago, explore delicious eateries for lunch and discover something new along the way.
Transportation on the Metra train will be provided by the Library. Our group will meet at the Wood Dale Metra station at 8:00 a.m (please allow yourself enough time to find parking, use the restrooms, etc). All tour participants must check in with the Group Leaders by 8:15 a.m. in order to board the train.
Once we arrive in Chicago, the group will have a chance to get quick refreshments before we begin our walking tour. Tours will include built-in breaks to rest and take lots of pictures!
A one-hour lunch break is planned at 12:00 p.m. Lunch is not provided by the Library, but staff will have suggestions for local eateries along with popular dishes and price points. Participants can explore the city on their own during our lunch break.
The group will re-convene at Union Station at 4 p.m. and board the 4:30 p.m. train back to Wood Dale.
This tour is not recommended for small children.
